A path of light opens between two masses of dark land and runs toward the horizon, where mountain peaks barely emerge from the mist. The sky, heavy with grey and ochre, seems to be in motion, while a thin line of bare trees marks the boundary between the known and the elsewhere. Là-bas (“over there”) names no specific place: it is an inner destination, a place sensed more than seen, toward which the eye cannot help but travel.
