The modern architectural artefacts of shapeshifting megacities, rendered at varying levels of representation, open a dialogue toward an elsewhere where different eras echo and collide. A pictorial shockwave, modern painting in motion!
A contemporary vision of the metropolis, on wood panels or large-format canvases. Rendered in a realistic style, with multi-layered image transfers, splashes of acrylic paint and an ultra-glossy epoxy finish! A pictorial portrait of the city in motion, with the shadows of a past still very present and a future under construction. A subtle touch of abstraction, in nocturnal moods of magical blue or blazing red-orange.
This series was notably shown in the solo exhibition Ondes de choc (Shockwave) at the Centre culturel Yvonne L. Bombardier in Valcourt (2015), and in Urban Mikado at the Centre culturel de Richmond (2016).
